Blennerhassett Museum of Regional History

We had an amazing time. We purchased the packaged deal for it all and loved it. Our tour guide Devie was terrific. She was very knowledgeable and answered all our groups questions and was so polite. She gave me cold chills telling us about the mansion. We will be coming back for the candle light tour.

Wow! Really cool! Great collections from members of the community. The artifacts give you insight into daily life from the frontier days all the way through the 20th century. Starting the May 2nd you can get a boat out to the Island where I’m sure there is even more great stuff to see. Cost for the museum I paid was $4; easy money.

They offer package deals, mansion tours, ferry ride there and back, horse drawn wagon tours and the museum ticket for $32 a piece. This takes about 4 to 5 hours to complete all 4. I highly recommend for a little getaway.

We took a two day trip to Marietta & Parkersburg WV & it all started with reading David McCullough 's book, "The Pioneers" which is about how the Northwest Territories were settled after the Revolutionary War. The book opened up an understanding of who these people were & how much they sacrificed & worked. Otherwise, it's just another historical site & you walk away with boredom. The Blennerhasset Museum was excellent. I would highly recommend visiting there as well as Blennerhasset Island. There are more historical places to visit as well in Marrietta. Our guide Sandy was terrific!!

Charming historical landmark worth visiting. Lots of accurate period pieces. It was nice to see the family history there as well. Worth the $4 admission price as part of the island tour package.

Very nice and a family fun place to visit. Can also have a wedding there. Very beautiful in the fall. Does have flushable toliets and water stations as well as a gift shop. Can bring your own lunch for a picnic...lots of tables. Only can get there by boat. I would recommend to visit the museum before you visit the island.

Parking is a little confusing if you've never been. The museum is amazing! There are multiple floors accessible by stairs or an elevator. Restrooms on site as well as a gift shop. The gentleman at the front desk where we purchased our package tickets was very friendly and helpful!
